Tomato Hornworm

Photography: :iconjsaren:

Okay, funny story time! So, last year my family and I grew a whole bunch of vegetables in pots on our porch. Among these were some cherry tomato plants. When it started getting colder, there were still some tomatoes left on the plants, so my mom told me to go and gather the rest of them. I started to pick the last tomatoes, when all of a sudden I noticed that something was moving.

At this point, I have to admit that I made many ridiculous, squealy girl noises. Understand: I was honestly not expecting there to be any sort of living creature on these plants, let along more than five of them. So here I am, flipping out and most likely giving our neighbors something to talk about. It is at this point that I must remind you all that I am an artist at heart, so as I am screaming my head off (it was something along the lines of, "EWEWEWEWEW!") I'm thinking, "I should take a picture of these wormy-green-caterpillar-creatures!" So I dashed inside to fetch the camera and voila!

lol The ironic thing is that it was so cold that the little guys were moving too slow to actually climb on/attack me. :3

To tell the truth, even looking at them in pictures grosses me out. Icky. The eye pattern on their sides creeps me out too. :P
