This was for DA-Runway's Challenge Four- A Super/Villian Design (Five Days), of which the goal was to redesign a superhero/villain's suit into a wearable outfit (alternately, you could redesign their suit into a new costume). Of course, I chose my favorite hero--DC's Creeper! For those who aren't familiar with him, here you go: dc.wikia.com/wiki/Jack_Ryder_%…

I actually did this way back in 2011, but just recently finished it off. ^^;

 My brother :icondarthronius: introduced me to his character with the newer comic, and I got hooked; I really liked the concept of a hero that looks like a villain, and I loved how he was kind of this jerk who you would expect to become a bad guy, and he instead decides to fight for good.

For all my excitement with this challenge, however, I had to really think of a way to rework him into a design, due to the fact that the Creeper's "suit" consists of a pair of green underwear, red boots and "cape", and a whole lot of yellow skin. Also, with yellow, yellow-green, and red as my color scheme, it wasn't going to be easy to fit "wearable outfit".

Since his memorable skin color is the main part of his "suit", I decided to keep that as the base of the new look, turning it into a dress with some small, but strong gathers on the bust to hint back to all his chest muscles. In the comics, his dark green manderpants are always drawn as striped and appear to have a shine, reminding me almost of shell, and so I moved that from the hips to the waist as a sort of corset effect; it would be made of a thicker, more supportive material to chance what would be a soft image to a hard, strong one. For his hair-cape, I represented it more in the flowing, "tattered" kerchief hem of the dress, adding the touch of red at the hip (and with the hair).
