Voyage to the Painted IslesThe Artist sets sail
fantasy parting in its wake
with high hopes in the heart
A long journey at sea
many a man has died
gave up midway
the toil too much to bear
Inspire, there's a good lass
voice like a Siren
pulls like the waves
wax and wane, rise and fall
No compass or direction
no bos'n to spur you on
just the howl of hunger
your ribs, sharpened edges
Discarded ideas adrift
scattered far and near
carried by the water
messages unbottled to sink
A graveyard of vessels
ne'er you mind, child
this ship will rise
no depth can conquer
Run aground, we may
circle in endless blue
listless and lost
but the stars do not fail
Salty hands may come
crawl upon the deck
slice through hearts
but the lighthouse shines yet
Sunrise will bring light
breath into the lifeless
guide the gifted fingers
'cross the canvas of the sky
Mirror, MirrorI had a dream where I was you
And cried to find it was not true.
So real, but things I'd never seen;
I could feel the roses of my reverie.
The wings of silk upon my back
Spread sweet dreams with every flap,
And the soft words he spoke to me
Were all I'd ever wanted to be.
With flowers braided in my hair,
I was one of the creatures there:
A voice that sang like glassy ice,
And happiness that had no price.
But that stolen life of evergreen,
It could not last, no, not for me.
The salty breeze from golden sands
Pushed me back into the waking lands,
Forced me back into the lonely night
Without, without his lovely eyes.
Unstable I would say that this is just another day, but I cannot see the sky; for all I know, it could be night. What I'd give to see either. Time passes unmarked within this liquid prison, but I still feel each second prickling anxiously into my skin. This is how I know I've been betrayed.
It was clever, the way they manipulated us all at the time. The war would destroy Amerlos, they had said, so the strongest, the craftiest, and the healthiest must hide away till the storm passed, emerging only to greet the aftermath. The city could be rebuilt, repopulated, and while the battle raged, the people of Amerlos's future would slumber safely below in ever-preserving capsules. Skin would not wrinkle or age, memories would not blur; the liquid would prevent one from growing bored, would feed you, and ensure that each person would emerge with all muscles and organs functioning as perfectly as they had upon entering.

Setting: Sometime during the Bay films
Characters: Optimus Prime
We came to this planet because ours was gone.
The quest for power consumed our home. The need for domination destroyed us. Still we live, and yet there is a piece in each of us that has been decimated forever. We will never recover what we have lost.
I look down upon this planet, and I wonder why we try.
It is evident by now that we have lost the capacity for peace. War follows in our wake. We came to retrieve the AllSpark, which has long since been lost, and we are still here. All that came of attempting to revive our planet was the relocation of the war from our planet of death to this planet of life. There is so much life on this planet. All of it we have sworn to protect. This is the promise we have made to them. But the promise would not need to have been made if we had never co
