Since I haven’t updated my journal for nine months, I figured I should write something, no? And what better time to do so than at seven (now eight) in the morning on my day off when one would rather be sleeping those two extra hours but has a piercing and persistent sinus headache that won’t allow her to sleep? *beams brilliantly at camera*
To aid my incredibly sore throat to match my headache, I've added (at 's behest) honey and ginger to my tea. I'm hard at work here trying to ignore the disgusting mixture of flavor in my green tea with lemon. Also at my brother's introduction, I have fallen in love with the adorable Cat Bug from Bravest Warriors ), so if I start yelling at people to "THROW A BLANKET OVER IT!", it is his fault.
For those who would like more consistent updates, you might want to look to my blog on which I'm way more active than I am here. As for what I've been up to recently, aside from too much work and CatwalkChallenge's Project Runway 2014, I'm doing a lot of crochet (which I believe I may have mentioned at some point). You want to talk about yarn? I'm there. You want to talk about yarn hats? I'm there twice as fast. Just to be safe, nobody mention alpaca yarn or you might be obliterated by my love-waves.
I also have a craft show coming up in two weeks, so I'll be working more on other craft items--like handmade journals, bookmarks, hats and scarves, etc.--than drawings of any kind (though I do have some to upload). I'll try to keep y'all posted, since I plan to start listing on Etsy again. I don't really have much incentive to be active here, though, because I feel like all I'm getting is echoes from out in deviantland from you guys. Maybe this is just a sign that no one else gets as excited about yarn as me(?).
As for my plans for the near future, I'd like to start uploading literature again (which I haven't done in ages) and get back in to doing book reviews. I know those of Writing-For-Fun are probably annoyed with my inactivity (sorry, for the 80th time, guys), and I'm looking to get back on track there as well. I also would like to start drawing consistently, but that may have to be put on hold until I can reorder some supplies, which has to be put on hold until the site I order from decides to start working properly again. Once upon a time, I also used to do commissions, but my info is out-of-date and hiding somewhere deep in my journal recesses so I'll need to pull that back out since I've been getting lots of raised hands.
...Is that all? I probably forgot something. Oh, well...
THROW A BLANKET OVER IT!

In Case of Snow, Break Glass for Yarn
I know that I said I was still going to be at least somewhat active on here, but obviously, I lied. Stick around long enough, and you may realize that I am somewhat of a lazy person these days.
Hey, at least I remembered to upload before the end of the year, though. *sips tea serenely*
But wait--there's more! Despite an intense desire to curl up under the blankets with my laptop and play video games and not come out until spring, I managed to act human long enough to do a craft show! I can't recall if I mentioned it before on here, but my mother ~Myrret (https://www.deviantart.com/myrret) and I began trying our hands at doing some of these last year, and have continued t

Remember when I was an exciting, young whippersnapper of an artist? Well, I'm now a more subdued (but still exciting!) and slightly older (but still young!) whippersnapper of an artist.
Just not on this website.
DeviantART has kind of hit rock bottom for me. Or rather, it hit rock bottom a long time ago. Period. There are various rants that I could go into, but I don't feel like, so I'll just leave it at a short* summary: it no longer benefits me the way it used to. Not for helpful feedback on my work like it used to, not for discovering new and awesome artists (everything is the same), all the really awesome groups have been obliterated by
Don't Mind Me, I'm Just a Ghost Passing By.
You know, for a while there, I actually temporarily forgot about deviantART's existence completely...and the fact that I can't make myself care really says something.
It's not like I've stopped drawing or anything, but I hibernate in winter so you probably won't see any of it for a long time (when it's cold, I have zero desire to move from underneath my blanket and venture out into the world). For the most part, I crochet now; crocheting is cool. I started out with hats, but now I'm working on the world's longest scarf. Look forward to it.

Winter Must Die (A Summary of My Recent Life)
:bulletblack: [OBSERVATION.1] Have you ever heard that saying about how people look like their pets (or the other way around, whatever)? Well, my hamster Tugger has an attitude, doesn't like to be touched, and is fat; my hamster Cooper sleeps all the time, and is fat; and my bunny hates the world and is moderately loafish. So what does this spell for me? Is this an omen that I will one day be a fat, lazy, antisocial person with extremely hairy legs? I've got the lazy part down to pat, so we shall see. Look forward to updates on this one.
:bulletblack: [OBSERVATION.2] I'm horrified to find that I've recently gained a startling popularity in l
